Our children and young people keep making us proud with incredible achievements that showcase resilience and determination. We are honoured to be part of their life journey and loved celebrating their efforts at the Awards Night held in England on 17th November 2022.
One of our amazing young people at St Pauls House provided their contribution to ensure the night could be a real success.
E., who has shown an interest in becoming a pastry chef, used their cooking skills to raise an impressive amount of £125 in just two days. With the support of Sarah Kimpton, Registered Manager, our young person made some mouth-watering goodies (including a bonfire cheesecake!) to sell at a local company and held an open house breakfast morning for the staff.
This initiative not only supported the event, but also helped E. sharpen their cooking skills and make their job goals more attainable. Very well done to E.!
The night was full of emotions, with our young people being recognised for all their accomplishments. All received an award and gift voucher, with some of the awards being ‘Most Brave’, ‘Best Fortnight Player’, and ‘Education Achievements’.
Many of our young people then decided to go on stage to make a speech. This was a very emotional moment that made it difficult to keep everyone’s eyes dry.
After acknowledging our young people’s brilliant achievements, it was time to make room for some proper fun.
Helped by the disco, candy floss and pop corn machines, and the chocolate fountain, the party kicked off for the 130 attendees, including team members and young people. At some point, there was even a huge conga going around the room!
It’s been fantastic to organise this event, and we look forward to supporting children and young people to reach their full potential over the next year. We’ll be there, ready to celebrate their successes again!
