We have many creative people as part of the Pebbles’ family and always look at ways of recognising and nurturing their talents. As Christmas is such a perfect time to encourage creativity, we have asked all our art buddies to take part in a card competition.
This year, it is not just our young people who have been supported to submit their creations. Our amazing team members have been asked to participate too, and the result has been astonishing.
We have received so many brilliant artworks that our panel was spoiled for choice. Joy Wakenshaw, Head of Care Practice, Mark Williams, Director of Operations, and Sharron Reilly, Head of Psychology, had the great pleasure to go through all the beautiful Christmas cards produced, and to nominate the best three entries for both our young people and employees.
The creators of the first, second and third placed cards received a monetary reward, whereas everyone else was given a prize for their enthusiasm and participation. What a cheerful way of celebrating the festive season and the talents of our people!
We are truly delighted to share here our very own Pebbles’ Christmas art creations.
First Place
The winning card was chosen because it contains a heartwarming reminder of how difficult this time of the year can be for some people, and how important it is to be kind to others. It’s a beautiful testament of the incredible self-awareness journey that our children and young people are supported to embark upon through our care and education.
Second Place
There’s something magical about the festive season, and the second winner was selected because their creation recalls the unique atmosphere of this time of the year.
Third Place
This artwork is so cheerful that it couldn’t be left out! It reminds us of the joy of Christmas, with its lights, colours, sparkles and decorations. After all, it’s what most of us love during this time of the year.
These are the beautiful winning cards from our super creative team members. The robin on the left gained first place, followed by the lovely marzipan house, and by the robin on the snowy branch.
Everyone who took part in the competition deserves a huge well done as each entry is brilliant. We are extremely proud to have so many talented people in our midst.
