Born from a practice of innovation, dedication and excellence in 2003, our organisation has grown into a national service with 45 welcoming homes and two innovative schools that continue to meet the needs of young people; to nurture them, help their development and give them every opportunity to flourish.
A trauma-informed practice through Therapeutic Parenting underpins our unique service, offering healing and life-changing journeys. We provide young people with care in real loving family-led homes, and education within schools that facilitates progress through a gound-breaking Adapt Learning model.
Our exclusive focus on people aged 8 to 18 means we deeply understand this age group, allowing us to carefully nurture children and young people, so they can develop and flourish in their own beautiful way.
The journey from trauma to a brighter future is usually arduous, requiring tireless effort and commitment. That’s why we provide continuous nurturing support through an unrivalled Therapeutic Parenting approach.
Dedicating time to supporting children’s development is a privilege of ours. The healing journeys of the young people at Pebbles last impressively longer than the average industry standard, guaranteeing everyone receives the attention needed to flourish.
We are not defined by the natural industry standards of having a set employee-to-bed ratio. Each of our welcoming homes offers a distinctive setting, that we adapt to the unique needs of the people in our care.
We advocate that education should meet the individual learner’s needs, knowledge, and skills. By offering flexible pathways within a therapeutic space, our pupils have access to empowering learning journeys.
Our expert Psychology, Commissioning, and Residential Care teams work united to assess the individual needs of our children, providing a holistic commitment to match our young people to the best nurturing environments.
At Pebbles, we know that everyone is different, with a unique story to tell. This is why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches and choose to offer individualised support to empower every young person to embark on self-healing and life-changing journeys.
Our bespoke care and education are combined with a consistent therapeutic approach that embraces trauma-informed practices, focusing on the outcomes that make our young people’s lives purposeful.
We are driven by the passion to see the people in our care flourish through adversity, and our continuous strive for innovation is what sets us apart in the residential child care sector.
We have earned a reputation for our passionate approach to our work, and are best equipped to support those with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, as well as mental health concerns.
The skill variation across our portfolio of services has helped us support young people suffering from mental health considerations, as well as issues of risk and safety including:
We have significantly invested in empowering our teams to make a difference for young people, ensuring we can meet and exceed our own high standards of self-improvement.
Each of our employees lives and breathes care – this is our lifestyle and we strive to provide our young people with the support that meets their physiological needs, a space where they can feel safe and loved, where they can feel a sense of accomplishment, and where the opportunity to achieve their full potential is realised.
We treat each young person as an individual and respond directly to their level of need, and will continue to deliver a living and learning experience that gives them every opportunity to thrive now and into the future.
Our commitment is to the young people we support and to our talented and professional team members who champion our commitment to develop and nurture so that our young people can flourish. We want to be the reason our young people smile not just today, but tomorrow.
