St Paul’s is close to the town centre, local amenities, and with good links to motorways. There is a local train station situated in the town centre.
1-1 placements are generally very therapeutic for young people, and can be considered a stepping stone between fostering and residential care.
Young people receive intense 24/7 support from a small staff team who we try to keep consistent, with no other distractions, enabling a family environment to be created.
Most of the young people we care for have attachment difficulties and a 1-1 placement is ideal for attachment and relationship building development. 1-1 placements are also ideal or supporting family relationships and facilitating contact within the home.
At St Paul’s House, we support children and young people through Therapeutic Parenting. By working therapeutically, we help change behaviours from those driven by a desire to self-harm to those where self-care feels a more satisfying option. The home receives the invaluable support of a dedicated in-house psychologist.
