Blackbrook House is situated in the town of St Helens which has lots of local amenities such as shops, cinema, sports facilities and clubs to name just a few.
We are near to the local train stations, bus services and also links to the motorways. The home is in-keeping with the typical house on the road, a normal two up, two down house.
Predominantly a one to one placement but has been working for some time with a young person who is on a 2-1 placement.
We are a caring, nurturing placement that offers a trauma informed, therapeutic approach and environment. We are a small team and try to keep the team the same so as to offer the young person continuity of care.
At Blackbrook House, we support children and young people through Therapeutic Parenting. By working therapeutically, we help change behaviours from those driven by a desire to self-harm to those where self-care feels a more satisfying option. The home receives the invaluable support of a dedicated in-house psychologist.
