Earlseat House is located in a rural village in Fife. The team at Earlseat House are well experienced and qualified and focus their care on relationship-based approaches, believing that creating positive relationships between staff and young people is the best form of therapy.
Our young people have offered many kind words in response to the care provided at Earlseat House:
“Kind, patient and treat me with respect.”
“I get on well with everyone.”
“Relationships with staff are amazing.”
“They talk to me and respect my views.”
“natural, honest people.”
Whilst speaking at Pebbles Care Managers Conference (Feb 2019) a young person living at our home stated that their relationships with the staff at Earlseat House had been a major influence in her changing her life and as such she felt better able to make decision which will support her into her adult life.
Earlseat House is a 4-bedroom detached house in the quiet village of Coaltown of Wemyss, in Fife. At Earlseat House we try to emulate a family atmosphere within the home. Fife as a county has an array of local activities, clubs, and social groups.
The house itself has a lounge, dining room, kitchen, games area, utility room, staff shower room and toilet, 2 young people’s bedrooms, separate toilet, separate shower, and bath for the young people. all bedrooms are double bedrooms with double beds and one room has an attached ensuite facility.
The young people are encouraged to decorate their rooms the way they want to help them settle in and feel at home.
The house and the environment are kept to a very high standard by the staff, and young people are encouraged to keep their own bedrooms tidy and staff will help with this if assistance is needed.
Young people who live in Earlseat House have ample opportunities to discuss their views through key worker sessions, young people’s meetings and young person’s questionnaires.
