Amble Cottage is registered with Ofsted and offers 3 spacious bedrooms for each of the children or young people, 2 of them have en-suite bathrooms, there are two carer bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Amble Cottage is a detached property in a stunning rural location with views overlooking the hills. We aim to ensure that our house reflects that of a family home where young people feel safe, relaxed and cared for.
The layout of the home has been designed to provide a healthy balance between safety, security, and privacy. Amble Cottage has views over Blencathra and is set in a rural area, each young person has access to their own shower room or bathroom. There are two lounge areas, a large dining room and modern kitchen. Within the grounds there is a spacious garden and an outside building accessible to the children for them to complete arts and crafts or play games.
At Amble Cottage we take pride in the way we care and create a home which is warm, welcoming and the children feel safe and loved.
We have an experienced management and staff team who work closely together to put the children and young people’s interests first and offer a high standard of care to allow them to reach their full potential.

At Amble Cottage, we support children and young people through Therapeutic Parenting. By working therapeutically, we help change behaviours from those driven by a desire to self-harm to those where self-care feels a more satisfying option. The home receives the invaluable support of a dedicated in-house psychologist.
