Cambridge house is a one to one placement and is situated in the town of St Helens, we have plenty of local amenities such, shops, cinema, sports facilities, good local schools, easy motorway links and a good railway service.
Cambridge House offer a nurturing environment with a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach. Being a solo placement, we are a small team of dedicated professionals and try to keep the staff team the same so that this can help build up a trusting, honest relationship with the young person in our care and offer continuity of care.
The house is a terraced home with a back garden, and comprises of entrance hall, living room, dining room, sunroom, and kitchen downstairs, with two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
Cambridge House is situated on a normal residential street and only 5 minutes or so walking distance from the town centre.
We are close to junior and senior schools and work well with all our young people’s education providers to enable them to have the best possible learning outcomes. The staff are able to provide a warm, welcoming home which is decorated with a lot of input from young people, not only to make their room their own, but also the rest of the home so that they can make it as comfortable as possible – an important measure in ensuring that they feel safe, secure and cared for.

At Cambridge House, we support children and young people through Therapeutic Parenting. By working therapeutically, we help change behaviours from those driven by a desire to self-harm to those where self-care feels a more satisfying option. The home receives the invaluable support of a dedicated in-house psychologist.
