Our school in Dunfermline offers modern, light, flexible and spacious accommodation so young people can thrive in a supportive and caring environment, and within classrooms of maximum six pupils at a time. We put Therapeutic Parenting at the heart of everything we do, and our dedicated nurture area, partnerships, individualised curricula through Adapt Learning, and approach to inclusion result in a high attendance record and a high level of engagement.
Young people feel welcome and appreciate the opportunities the school offers them to improve their qualifications and life chances. For example, pupils enjoy the benefits of equine therapy and have developed a therapeutic garden in the grounds of the school, where they can relax.
Wider achievement and skills for learning, life and work are facilitated alongside excellent progress in core subjects at all levels. ASDAN and Personal Achievement Awards complement the formal curriculum to ensure our young people achieve sustained positive outcomes.
At Dunfermline, we support a maximum of 16 pupils between the ages of 12 and 18.
