Faiza Ghafoor

Assistant Psychologist

Faiza started her psychology career working within the Prison Service with adult male offenders over a period of 7 years. She then took a career gap to start a family. After having 3 children, Faiza began to revaluate the client group she wanted to work with and went on to start her career working with young people who had mental health issues.

Faiza’s current role within Pebbles is as a Forensic Psychologist in Training covering the Yorkshire and St Helens area. Faiza is firm believer in a holistic approach when it comes to therapy and treatment and feels that one of the most important aspects of therapy is the therapeutic alliance that is formed before commencing any work. She conducts 121 therapy work and works alongside the team within the homes, aiding them in support their young people.

Faiza has completed her BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Forensic Psychology and has started a HCPC approved Practitioner Programme and is currently working towards become a Registered Forensic Psychologist.

Outside of work Faiza believes in challenging herself physically. She has participated in White Collar Fighting and in hiking challenges inc the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and the National 3 Peaks challenge. She is also an avid runner in her spare time.

Faiza strives to have a healthy work-life balance.
